About us
In 2003 when the current owners took over the Boundary, it already had a great tradition within the community which has been built upon with an even greater involvement such as the Raft Race and the Annual Rugby Beer Festival.
2008 saw the opening of the River Restaurant with its sixty seats inside as well as a fully licensed bar. Weather permitting; there are thirty-two seats outside in the beautiful garden overlooking the River Welland. Multi-Award-winning fish and chips are not the only meal on offer, as there are ten fish choices available. The flame grill menus include top quality steaks, gammons, chicken-piri-piri and ribs among other mouth-watering choices.
In 2019 delicious southern fried chicken was added to the menu, both in the Restaurant and the Take Away which is proving to be a great success.
In the twelve years since the Restaurant opened, so many meal variations have been added with a great choice of starters and even more desserts including over ten flavours of glorious Italian ice creams.
The Restaurant’s Family Day is Saturday, when all day, two children under the age of ten eat free to one adult purchasing a main meal off the menu.
The Take Away and Restaurant offer Gluten free fish and chips all day from Monday to Wednesday.
Regular promotions run through the year in both the Take Away and Restaurant and special Event Nights take place throughout the year with live duos and tribute acts.
It is also a pleasure to be associated with the wonderful venue recently opened at Sissons Barn; a venue unique in itself for weddings, birthdays or any party event. As one of their preferred caterers, the River Restaurant has already catered for three weddings with more in the pipeline for this year and next.
The River Restaurant has been host to lots of special evenings for birthdays or special anniversaries, and is available to book for your special occasion including Children’s parties.
The objective in both the Take Away and the Restaurant is simple – To Offer the best quality produce and the best quality service to all our customers.
In the Community
Our plans for support within the community for 2020 are now in place. The Raft Race held on the first Sunday in August will see our major sponsorship and the Deeping Gang Show is an annual event that we are proud to be a main sponsor of.
We continue to support the local bowls and tennis clubs as well as being one of the sponsors of the annual Rugby Beer Fest. Look out for information about our Charity Days where local charities all benefit from a day when we sell cod and chips at a reduced price and all proceeds are donated to good causes, which in the past has included Anna’s Hope, The Deepings Medical Practice and other charities nominated by past Mayors of the Deepings.

Sustainability
It has always been the intention of the Boundary to purchase only the finest quality fish from recognised fish merchants.And that they can guarantee that the fish we purchase has been sourced from sustainable and well managed stocks.To ensure this we have asked all of our fish suppliers to confirm in writing that the fish that they supply to the boundary is sourced from sustainable stocks, and were possible any certification of tractability.
Environmental Concerns
We are very conscious of the environment and the impact we have on it. Where possible we take steps to reduce our carbon footprint. We provide take-away boxes that are environmentally friendly, which are compartmentalised to keep the quality of the product better. We are currently talking to a major supplier to change to a paper carrier bag from the current plastic one in the near future.
